The Jazz are coming off a 120-119 overtime win over Boston on Thursday. They snapped a three-game losing streak and are now 29-19 and sit 4th in the Western Conference. Mitchell had 35 points with the game-winning layup with 0.9 seconds left in overtime. Gobert added 24 points, 17 rebounds, and five blocks. Mike Conley finished with 18 points and nine assists. The Hornets beat the Orlando Magic 107-104 on Wednesday. They improved to 22-21 and sit 4th in the Eastern Conference standings. Two teams looking to build on their momentum and move up the playoff ladder on Friday are the Utah Jazz (31-22) and Charlotte Hornets (29-28). The Jazz enters play tonight as a top-10 offense, averaging 114.6 points per game. Their opponents, the Hornets, are one of basketball’s best defenses, allowing just 106.4 points per game. The key matchup in tonight’s game will be between two explosive young scorers, Mitchell and Rozier. Utah has one of the most versatile big men in the game in Gobert. Rozier has his big man in Washington.
