Move-in
Stayed here to bring my daughter in for NC State orientation. Great location to drive from or even biker to campus. I forgot my shorts on the deck and they were kind enough to ship them to me. Watch the video and check in is easy.

Visiting NC State
Located in the perfect location if you want to do anything in downtown Raleigh and was a short drive for us to get to NCSU’s campus. Great amenities (the latte machine in the lobby was a wonderful surprise). Without a doubt, would stay again.

Work stay
Who gets an open-air balcony on the 18th floor to watch the sunset? This guy! A fabulous 1-BR apartment has become my go-to stay for business in Raleigh. Fantastic unit, Nest thermostats, firm mattress, and a coffee bar in the lobby. Goodbye, Marriott!

Apartment vs hotel

Built for a campus visit, not just a night

  • A full kitchen

Cook breakfast before a campus tour or graduation morning, and feed the whole family — full-size fridge, dishwasher, real cookware — instead of hunting for a table on a packed parents’ weekend.

  • Room for the whole family

A separate bedroom and a real living room, so parents, siblings, and the student aren’t crammed into one hotel room for move-in or graduation weekend.

  • In-unit laundry

Settle in for move-in or graduation weekend without living out of a suitcase — a washer and dryer in every unit.

  • Lower per-night cost

On move-in, parents’ weekend, and graduation, the campus-area hotels sell out and surge — a furnished apartment usually costs less, sleeps the whole family, and booking direct drops the 15–20% OTA service fee entirely. Ask about weekly rates.

  • Minutes from campus

A quick drive or rideshare down Hillsborough Street to NC State for tours, move-in, the ceremony, or a Wolfpack game — with your own secured parking downtown instead of the campus decks.

  • A local team, not a call center

We own and operate every apartment, so you reach the people who run the building — instant confirmation, and easy to extend if you add a day around graduation.

Getting around

Getting there & back

NC State’s main campus is about 2 miles west down Hillsborough Street — a short drive, rideshare, or the free Wolfline bus. The upside is downtown Raleigh on your doorstep: Glenwood South, Fayetteville Street, the Warehouse District, and Union Station are all walkable from 400H.

  • By car

A straight ~8-minute drive (about 2 miles) west down Hillsborough Street to NC State’s main campus and the Belltower. Campus visitor parking is in the Coliseum and other decks; expect more traffic on move-in, game, and graduation days.

  • Bus — Wolfline / GoRaleigh

NC State’s free Wolfline and the GoRaleigh system run along Hillsborough Street between downtown and campus — a car-free option for a campus day.

  • Amtrak — Raleigh Union Station

Raleigh’s Union Station is a short walk/ride from 400H — handy for family traveling in for the weekend.

  • Raleigh-Durham (RDU) airport

About 15 miles / a 20-minute drive — for family flying in for move-in or graduation.

Most stays here line up with the NC State calendar — tours, move-in, Parents’ & Families Weekend, graduation, and game weekends. A downtown apartment keeps you close to campus and in the middle of Raleigh. (Trifecta is independently owned — not affiliated with NC State.)

  • College tours & admitted-student days

Touring with a prospective Wolfpacker, or back for an admitted-student day? A central downtown base, a short drive from campus, with plenty to do between visits.

  • Graduation & game weekends

NC State’s Commencement is typically held in May at the Lenovo Center (PNC Arena) — book early, it sells the city out. In the fall, the same apartment is a great base for a Carter-Finley football Saturday or a basketball weekend. Check NC State’s official calendar for graduation dates.
