Formerly Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre
Stay minutes from the show. Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre is the open-air, ~5,000-seat amphitheater at the AvidXchange Music Factory just northwest of Uptown — a short walk from The VUE, or a quick few-minute ride from any Trifecta building. Catch a summer tour under the stars, grab post-show drinks and comedy steps away, then head back to a furnished apartment instead of a late drive home across the Carolinas.

Apartment vs hotel
Built for an event weekend, not just a night
A full kitchen
Feed a group before the event and skip the overpriced venue concessions. Cookware, dishwasher, full-size fridge — all included.
Room for the whole crew
A 2-bedroom sleeps six — one apartment instead of three hotel rooms, with a living room to actually hang out in.
In-unit laundry
Pack light for a multi-night run of shows or a season of home games. Washer and dryer in every unit.
Lower per-night cost
For two nights or more, a furnished apartment usually beats a comparable downtown hotel — and direct booking drops the 15–20% OTA service fee entirely.
Walk, don’t park
Most event venues sell little or no on-site parking, and nearby decks fill up and add up fast. Stay within walking distance and skip the cost and the post-event traffic.
A local team, not a call center
We own and operate every apartment. Book direct and you reach the people who run the building, instantly confirmed.
Getting around
No car needed
Skyla sits in the self-contained Music Factory district — The Fillmore, The Underground, the Comedy Zone, and a cluster of bars and restaurants are all a 1–3 minute walk from each other, so once you're there you don't need a car. Getting there from Uptown is a short walk from the closest building, or a quick ride from the rest.
Rideshare
From any building, an Uber or Lyft to the Music Factory is a short, cheap hop — typically $8–$15 (more with post-show surge). The easy call for the farther buildings and after the show.
On foot
The VUE is a flat ~12-minute walk; the other buildings are a longer 20–40 minute walk across the I-277 belt — pleasant by day, a quick ride after dark.
CityLYNX Gold Line streetcar
The Gold Line's west-end stops (Johnson & Wales, Gateway) sit near Centric Gateway, about a mile from the venue.
Charlotte Douglas (CLT) airport
About 6–7 miles / a 15–20 minute drive — easy for a fly-in concert weekend.
Make a weekend of it
Steps from the show, and everything around it
Make a night of it at the Music Factory — the Fillmore, comedy, dinner, and bars are all steps from the amphitheatre, with Uptown a short walk south.
Right next doorNext door
The Fillmore Charlotte
The 2,000-cap indoor concert hall shares the Music Factory with the amphitheatre — a natural same-weekend add, steps from the lawn.
Food & drinkAt the venue
Dinner & drinks at the Music Factory
VBGB Beer Hall (heated patio with Giant Jenga and cornhole), Bocao Sushi, and La Unica are all steps from the gate — no car needed once you arrive.
NightlifeAt the venue
The Comedy Zone & The Underground
Charlotte's full-time comedy club and an intimate 750-cap music room share the district — easy add-ons before or after the main show.
More to do10–15 min
Uptown, a short walk south
4th Ward and the Tryon/Trade corridor — dining, museums, and nightlife — are a 10–15 minute walk for a broader set of options.
Good to know
Questions before you book
How far is each apartment from Skyla Amphitheatre?
The VUE on 5th is the closest — about a 12–15 minute walk, just across I-277 in 4th Ward. Centric Gateway is a ~20-minute walk, and Circa Uptown and Savoy are a 28–39 minute walk or, more realistically, a quick rideshare. Times are approximate.
Should I walk or take a rideshare?
From The VUE, walking is easy (~12 minutes). From the other buildings, a quick Uber or Lyft — usually $8–$15 — is the easy call, especially after the show or after dark. Either way you skip event parking and the post-show deck jam.
Where do I park for a show?
The Music Factory garage and surface lots run about $10–$15 on event nights, with a slow exit crush after a sold-out show. The simplest move is to stay nearby and walk or rideshare; most Trifecta buildings include resident parking, so your car stays put for the whole stay.
What's the Music Factory like?
It's a self-contained entertainment district: the open-air Skyla amphitheatre for bigger tours, the Fillmore and The Underground for indoor concerts, the Comedy Zone, and a cluster of bars and restaurants — all steps apart. Make a night of it with dinner, the show, and post-show drinks without moving the car.
Isn't this the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre?
Same place. The amphitheatre — which opened in 2009 as the Uptown Amphitheatre — was renamed Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre in 2023, after a stint as the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre. It’s the ~5,000-seat open-air venue at the AvidXchange Music Factory.
What's coming up at Skyla Amphitheatre?
The calendar above pulls the amphitheatre’s upcoming concerts live from Ticketmaster and refreshes automatically, so past shows drop off and new dates appear on their own.
