Where to stay near Truliant Amphitheater

All four Trifecta buildings are in Uptown Charlotte, about 11 miles — a 17–22 minute drive up I-77 and I-85 — from the amphitheater in University City. The VUE on 5th, at the north end of Uptown, is the quickest run north. Times are approximate and run longer right after a sold-out show.

Mostly, yes. Board the LYNX Blue Line at any Uptown station and ride north to the UNC Charlotte end of the line (about 30–40 minutes), then take a short ~3-mile rideshare to the gates. The light rail doesn't reach the venue itself, and there's no official event shuttle — but the train covers the bulk of the trip car-free.

General-admission parking is included with most tickets, so there's no separate deck fee. The downside is the exit: the lots empty onto just two roads and can take an hour or more to clear after a sold-out show. Many guests rideshare (the venue has a dedicated post-show pickup at the A/B Gate) or build in a buffer and head back to an apartment 15–20 minutes away.

Same place. The amphitheater was renamed Truliant Amphitheater in January 2026 under a new naming-rights deal; most locals still call it PNC Music Pavilion (and Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre before that). It is the 19,500-seat outdoor shed on Pavilion Blvd in University City, operated by Live Nation.

For out-of-town fans, absolutely. Shows let out around 10–11pm, and a furnished apartment 15–20 minutes away beats a one-to-three-hour drive home across the Carolinas — or a gouged event-night hotel rate. Make a night of it, sleep in, and skip the worst of the exit traffic.

The calendar above pulls the amphitheater’s upcoming concerts live from Ticketmaster and refreshes automatically, so past shows drop off and new dates appear on their own.
