The Hornets beat the Orlando Magic 107-104 on Wednesday. They improved to 22-21 and sit 4th in the Eastern Conference standings. Terry Rozier led the way with 30 points, and Gordan Hayward added 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists to help the Hornets win their 4th in a row. LaMelo Ball had 13 points and 10 assists.
Two teams looking to build on their momentum and move up the playoff ladder on Friday are the Utah Jazz (31-22) and Charlotte Hornets (29-28). The Jazz enters play tonight as a top-10 offense, averaging 114.6 points per game. Their opponents, the Hornets, are one of basketball’s best defenses, allowing just 106.4 points per game. The key matchup in tonight’s game will be between two explosive young scorers, Mitchell and Rozier. Utah has one of the most versatile big men in the game in Gobert. Rozier has his big man in Washington.
