Very nice place! Lots of space to spread out. We arrived early evening and were very happy to find a good Mexican restaurant just steps away. Convenient garage parking is also a huge plus.

Great place, centrally located and management was very responsive when a neighbor passed out with a movie on blast. Hammocks on the balcony were fantastic and place felt very large. 8 year old loved it.

Apartment vs hotel

Built for an event weekend, not just a night

  • A full kitchen

Feed a group before the event and skip the overpriced venue concessions. Cookware, dishwasher, full-size fridge — all included.

  • Room for the whole crew

A 2-bedroom sleeps six — one apartment instead of three hotel rooms, with a living room to actually hang out in.

  • In-unit laundry

Pack light for a multi-night run of shows or a season of home games. Washer and dryer in every unit.

  • Lower per-night cost

For two nights or more, a furnished apartment usually beats a comparable downtown hotel — and direct booking drops the 15–20% OTA service fee entirely.

  • Skip the post-show grind

Event lots empty slowly and the drive home is long. Stay minutes away and the worst of your night is a short, familiar trip back to your own door — resident parking waiting, no hour-plus crawl out and no late highway haul.

  • A local team, not a call center

We own and operate every apartment. Book direct and you reach the people who run the building, instantly confirmed.

Getting around

Getting there & back

This is a drive-to arena — about 2 miles west on Duke's campus, with no light rail in Durham, so plan on a ~8-minute drive or a rideshare. The upside is your base: West Village is one of downtown Durham's most walkable addresses, with DPAC, the American Tobacco Campus, and the ballpark all on foot.

  • By car

West on W Morgan St / Chapel Hill St to Duke University Rd and Cameron Blvd onto West Campus — about 2 miles / 8–10 minutes from downtown. The Whitford Drive lot is closest to the arena.

  • Rideshare

A quick, easy hop from downtown — the simplest option for a game night. About 2 miles to West Campus.

  • Amtrak — Durham Station

Durham’s Amtrak station (601 W Main St) is right in the West Village complex (the Carolinian and Piedmont). There is no light rail in Durham, so it’s a short drive or rideshare to campus.

  • Raleigh-Durham (RDU) airport

    About 15 miles / a 20-minute drive — easy for a fly-in game weekend.

Good to know

Questions before you book

How far is each loft from Cameron Indoor Stadium?

Both West Village buildings are in downtown Durham, about 2 miles — an 8–10 minute drive — from Cameron on Duke’s West Campus. A rideshare is the easy option for a game night. Times are approximate.

How hard is it to get Duke basketball tickets?

Cameron is famously small (9,314) and tickets to marquee men’s games — especially Duke–UNC — are very hard to come by for non-students. Duke women’s basketball, exhibitions, and other events are far more accessible. If you’ve landed tickets, staying minutes away in downtown makes the trip easy.

What’s confirmed at Cameron for 2026-27?

As of mid-2026 the full Duke schedule isn’t out yet — the confirmed home games at Cameron are Illinois (Nov 17) and the North Carolina rivalry home leg (date released later in the season), plus the ACC home slate (Virginia, Florida State, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, Pitt, Stanford, California). The big neutral-site games (Champions Classic, etc.) are played elsewhere.

Is a loft better than a hotel for a game weekend?

For two or more nights, usually — 2-bedroom historic lofts that sleep six, with a full kitchen and separate living area, at a lower per-night cost than a comparable hotel and no OTA service fee when you book direct. A roomy base in walkable downtown Durham.
