Walk to the show at one of the South's great historic theaters. Trifecta's furnished apartments sit in West Village — converted Liggett & Myers tobacco warehouses on West Morgan Street — about a 5-minute walk from the Carolina Theatre of Durham, the beautifully restored 1926 Beaux-Arts hall (and beloved arthouse cinema) beside the Convention Center. Catch a touring concert, a comedy night, or a film festival, then stroll home to a full kitchen and a 2-bedroom loft — no late drive across the Carolinas.

Apartment vs hotel
Built for an event weekend, not just a night
A full kitchen
Feed a group before the event and skip the overpriced venue concessions. Cookware, dishwasher, full-size fridge — all included.
Room for the whole crew
A 2-bedroom sleeps six — one apartment instead of three hotel rooms, with a living room to actually hang out in.
In-unit laundry
Pack light for a multi-night run of shows or a season of home games. Washer and dryer in every unit.
Lower per-night cost
For two nights or more, a furnished apartment usually beats a comparable downtown hotel — and direct booking drops the 15–20% OTA service fee entirely.
Walk, don’t park
Most event venues sell little or no on-site parking, and nearby decks fill up and add up fast. Stay within walking distance and skip the cost and the post-event traffic.
A local team, not a call center
We own and operate every apartment. Book direct and you reach the people who run the building, instantly confirmed.
Getting around
No car needed
The Carolina Theatre is a restored 1926 Beaux-Arts landmark (on the National Register of Historic Places) in walkable downtown Durham's Brightleaf district — the same historic tobacco district as your West Village loft. Walk a few blocks down West Morgan Street to the show, then walk to dinner at the American Tobacco Campus or Brightleaf Square. Durham's Amtrak station is in the complex itself, so many guests skip the car entirely.
On foot
A flat few-block walk east down West Morgan Street (about 5–7 minutes) takes you from your loft to the theatre — do dinner, the show, and a nightcap on foot, then walk home.
Amtrak — Durham Station
Durham's Amtrak station (601 W Main St) sits right in the West Village complex, served by the Carolinian (Charlotte–Raleigh–NYC) and the Piedmont (Raleigh–Charlotte) — arrive by train without a car.
Raleigh-Durham (RDU) airport
About 13 miles / a 15–20 minute drive — rideshare into downtown Durham is quick and inexpensive.
GoDurham bus
Durham's downtown bus network meets at the station transit hub a couple of blocks away, connecting West Village to the rest of the city.

Good to know
Questions before you book
How far is each apartment from the Carolina Theatre?
Both buildings are a short, flat walk — about 5–7 minutes east down West Morgan Street (the theatre is on the same street, beside the Convention Center). The Cooper Building at 604 is a block nearer than the Flowers Building at 610, so the walk is essentially the same from either. Times are approximate.
Can I walk to the theatre after dinner?
Yes — the Carolina Theatre sits in walkable downtown Durham (Walk Score in the low 90s), a flat ~5–7 minute walk down West Morgan Street. Most guests do dinner nearby, walk to the show, and walk home afterward — no late-night rideshare and no parking deck.
Where do I park for a show?
The theatre has no large lot of its own; the 719-space Durham Centre Garage is directly across West Morgan Street, and on-street parking is free after 7pm and on weekends. The simplest option is to stay within walking distance and skip it — both Trifecta buildings include on-site parking, so your car stays put for the whole stay.
Is an apartment better than a hotel for a show or a film festival?
For two or more nights, usually yes — and film-festival weekends are a perfect fit. These are 2-bedroom historic lofts that sleep six, with a full kitchen, in-unit laundry, and a separate living area, at a lower per-night cost than a downtown hotel and with no OTA service fee when you book direct. Great for a couple making a weekend of it or a group splitting a festival pass.
What's on at the Carolina Theatre?
Touring concerts, comedy, dance, and speakers in the ~1,000-seat Fletcher Hall — the calendar above pulls upcoming shows live and updates automatically — plus an arthouse cinema showing independent and classic films year-round. The theatre is also known for its film festivals: the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival each April (screening at the Carolina Theatre and other downtown Durham venues), the long-running Nevermore horror/sci-fi festival each winter, and the OUTSOUTH Queer Film Festival.
Can I get there from the airport without a car?
Yes. Durham's Amtrak station is right in the West Village complex (601 W Main St), served by the Carolinian and Piedmont trains, and RDU airport is about a 15–20 minute drive. Once you're here, the theatre and downtown Durham are a walk away, so a car is genuinely optional.
