Great place, centrally located and management was very responsive when a neighbor passed out with a movie on blast. Hammocks on the balcony were fantastic and place felt very large. 8 year old loved it.

Apartment vs hotel

Built for an event weekend, not just a night

  • A full kitchen

Feed a group before the event and skip the overpriced venue concessions. Cookware, dishwasher, full-size fridge — all included.

  • Room for the whole crew

A 2-bedroom sleeps six — one apartment instead of three hotel rooms, with a living room to actually hang out in.

  • In-unit laundry

Pack light for a multi-night run of shows or a season of home games. Washer and dryer in every unit.

  • Lower per-night cost

For two nights or more, a furnished apartment usually beats a comparable downtown hotel — and direct booking drops the 15–20% OTA service fee entirely.

  • Skip the post-show grind

Event lots empty slowly and the drive home is long. Stay minutes away and the worst of your night is a short, familiar trip back to your own door — resident parking waiting, no hour-plus crawl out and no late highway haul.

  • A local team, not a call center

We own and operate every apartment. Book direct and you reach the people who run the building, instantly confirmed.

Getting around

Getting there & back

This is a drive-to stadium — about 2 miles west on Duke's campus, with no light rail in Durham, so plan on a ~8-minute drive, a rideshare, or the free Duke game-day shuttle from a remote lot. The upside is your base: West Village is one of downtown Durham's most walkable addresses (Walk Score in the low 90s), with DPAC, the American Tobacco Campus, and the ballpark all on foot.

  • By car

West on W Morgan St to Erwin Rd / Cameron Blvd onto Duke’s West Campus — about 2 miles / 8 minutes from downtown, longer on game day. Expect West Campus road closures and traffic around kickoff.

  • Duke game-day shuttle

On football Saturdays Duke runs free shuttles from remote park-and-walk lots (off Anderson St / Yearby Ave) to Duke Chapel, a ~5-minute walk from the gates — a common way to skip the campus crawl.

  • Rideshare

A quick, easy hop from downtown — the simplest option on game day, and you skip the remote lots entirely. About 2 miles to West Campus.

  • Amtrak — Durham Station

Durham’s Amtrak station (601 W Main St) sits right in the West Village complex (the Carolinian and Piedmont) — arrive by train, then drive or rideshare the last 2 miles to campus. There is no light rail in Durham.

Good to know

Questions before you book

How far is each loft from Wallace Wade Stadium?

Both West Village buildings are in downtown Durham, about 2 miles — a 7–9 minute drive — from the stadium on Duke’s West Campus. Game-day traffic runs longer, so many fans rideshare or use Duke’s free game-day shuttle from a remote lot. Times are approximate.

What’s the 2026 Duke football home schedule?

Six home games at Wallace Wade: Tulane (Sep 5), Stanford (Sep 19), William & Mary (Sep 26), the North Carolina rivalry (Oct 17), Boston College (Oct 31), and a Friday-night showdown with Clemson (Nov 20, 7:30pm). Kickoff times for the UNC and BC games are set closer to game week.

How do I get to the game and park?

Drive or rideshare the ~2 miles from downtown, or take Duke’s free game-day shuttle from a remote park-and-walk lot. There’s no light rail in Durham. Staying in West Village means a quick trip over and your loft’s own on-site parking while you’re here.

Is a loft better than a hotel for a game weekend?

For two or more nights, usually — these are 2-bedroom historic lofts that sleep six, with a full kitchen and a separate living area, at a lower per-night cost than a comparable hotel and no OTA service fee when you book direct. A roomy base for a group in walkable downtown Durham.
